Who we are

What we collect

What you send through the enquiry form, by email, WhatsApp or phone: your name, company, contact details, and the drawings and information about your job. The form also sends the page you sent it from and the page you arrived at, so we know what you were looking at (held in your browser for the visit only, no cookies). You do not have to give anything, but a job cannot be quoted without enough to go on.

Why, and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry and quote: our legitimate interest in replying to people who get in touch, and steps you ask for before a contract.
• To do and invoice the work: our contract, and the tax records the law requires.
• To send occasional news of our work to clients and businesses who might use us: our legitimate interest in winning work. You can opt out at any time.

Who sees it

Only JPA Design and the services used to run the business: Microsoft (email), Cloudflare (website hosting), Web3Forms (which passes the enquiry form to our email) and our accountant. Your details are never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing. Some of these services may process data outside the UK; where they do, it is under the UK’s approved transfer safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a job: 12 months. Client and job records: 6 years after the job, for tax.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your details, have them corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how they are used, or have them sent to you in a usable format.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your details have been handled, tell us first at jamie@jpa-design.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking. If you press the light / dark switch, your choice is kept in your own browser’s storage and never sent anywhere. No automated decisions are made about you.
